Support Services for Families with FASD Program

ARC Programs

Offers a community based outreach service designed to enhance protective factors and reduce risk factors for a young person with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and build the capacity of their families to provide ongoing nurturing care for their children.<br /><br />Keyworker services provide case management support and coordination, and assistance to families in implementing the recommendations of the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Assessment provided by the Interior Health Children's Assessment Network. Services many include parenting/family education, access to community services, education planning and support, individual or family counselling, and parent-to-parent support groups.

Overdose Prevention Sites

Provides onsite monitoring of people who are at risk of overdose, and rapid response where necessary. Sites are equipped with fentanyl test strips, and naloxone kits which reverse the effects of opioid overdoses.<br /><br />Also offers overdose prevention education, take-home Naloxone kits and training, harm reduction supplies and disposal, and referral to mental health and substance use services. Provided in partnership with community organizations.
