Provides an online listing of support groups available in BC for men and women in need of support with their marijuana addiction. Twelve Steps of recovery and Twelve Traditions are used for knowledge and wisdom.

Addiction Recovery Program

BC Housing

Provides transitional housing units to people in recovery from problematic substance use. Offers support services to help manage individual's addictions needs in preparation for long-term housing as a sustainable option. The 18-month program ensures that affordable housing and support services are available to individuals in recovery once they have completed detox and support recovery programs. Offered in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health.

BC Region of Narcotics Anonymous

Provides an online listing of local support groups for men and women with addiction who wish to maintain a drug-free lifestyle. Recovering addicts meet regularly to help each other stay clean and share recovery with one another. Closed meetings are for members or for recovering addicts only, while open meetings are available to anyone interested in the program.

Provincial Opioid Addiction Treatment Support Program

British Columbia Centre on Substance Use

Provides clinical care guidance and training programs for all health care professionals in the province who are treating opioid use disorder and are prescribing medication such as buprenorphine/naloxone, methadone, slow-release oral morphine, and injectable opioid agonist treatment.

The program also maintains a province-wide directory of opioid agonist treatment clinics accepting new patients, and makes recommendations to Health Canada regarding health professionals wishing to obtain authorization to prescribe methadone for opioid addiction.

Rapid Access Addiction Clinics (RAACs)

Rapid Access Addiction Clinics provide support for people who are ready to change how they're using substances.

Mental Health Intake Line - Vancouver

Vancouver Coastal Health

Provides a single point of entry for screening, assessment, and referrals to mental health and addiction programs in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.

Provides an online listing of addiction recovery support groups to help people recover from all types of addiction and addictive behaviours including drug abuse, gambling addiction, prescription drugs, sexual addiction, and alcohol abuse. Groups are available in communities throughout BC or online.

Lighthouse Virtual Substance Use Care

Vancouver Coastal Health

Offers medical treatment and short-term stabilization for people who use substances. The program is a free, telephone-based clinic provided by a team of health professionals including addiction medicine doctors, nurses and social workers. Clients who need in-person assessment will be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider for care.
